Gift Planning

About The Foundation

Stewardship – ‘the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care’

We are called to live a generous life and be faithful stewards of all that God has given us. Over time, generosity becomes a habit, and then a lifestyle.

Gift planning is one way you can help ensure the long-term viability of Bethel Lutheran Home.

You don’t have to be wealthy to consider gift planning. You can give more than you think, with many options requiring no initial expense on your part. The best thing about gift planning is the benefit that it gives to the recipient organization and to the donor’s family.

Planned gifts can be made through:

  • A simple will or bequest
  • Publicly traded securities
  • Life insurance
  • Charitable remainder trusts
  • Donor advised funds

If you qualify, you can direct your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to the Bethel Lutheran Home Foundation.

Bethel Lutheran Home partners with Lutheran Planned Giving of South Dakota, giving us access to the financial planning and investment portfolio managed by the Evangelical Church in America Foundation. Find more information on how you can take advantage of all LPGSD has to offer by visiting their website lpgsd.org.

The Bethel Lutheran Home Foundation can help you turn your philanthropic wishes into reality.

To learn how a bequest, gift of stock, or other planned gift can leave a legacy, please contact jonas@bethelcommunity.com or call 605-427-2195. You can also mail us at BLHF 1001 S Egan Ave, Madison, SD 57042.

Please seek professional advice: The Bethel Lutheran Home Foundation strongly recommends that you seek professional advice so that your legacy gift is tailored to your circumstances.
