Jona Schmidt - Development Director
This year we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of Bethel Lutheran Home. At its founding in 1962, Bethel Lutheran served as a retirement home for the elderly. Today we serve seniors requiring minimal care and those whose needs are much more acute. Every day the dedicated Bethel staff strive to provide a caring and compassionate environment for residents who depend on the services offered here.
We can do this Because of You. Your gifts help us maintain a level of support for our residents, purchase specialized equipment, and enhance the quality of life for the residents and the work experience for the staff.
My role at Bethel is to work with the administrator, staff, residents, and their families to build opportunities for growth. I look for ways to partner donor interests and passions with the needs of the Bethel Community. It is a worthy job, and every day I am humbled by the work being done by the dedicated and caring staff. I am also blessed to have the privilege of getting to know the precious residents at Bethel and playing a small role in their daily lives. The chance to say hello to one of the residents as they make their way to therapy or to the activities room is a special joy.
You are visiting this website because of an affinity to Bethel, and we are grateful for your interest. I would ask that you share the news of Bethel with someone who may not know the impact this facility has on Madison and the surrounding area. Help us tell the story of the work being done here by good people on behalf of our wonderful residents. And if you are so inclined, I invite you to engage with Bethel as a volunteer or a donor.
